They both offer jQuery hosting now - which should I use? I'm leaning towards the Microsoft option since they also host the jquery-1.3.2-vsdoc.js file which means I get full Intellisense support in Visual Studio.

Thoughts?

I guess that would come down to preference. Google's been doing it longer, so it's established reliability. But, I've been reading in a few places that google is blocked in a couple countries and some businesses, so that may be another point in Microsoft's favour.

I would be interested to see some on numbers of servers and response times.

An update: I've been running a test via PINGDOM for a week or so now and can report that the Microsoft-hosted jQuery responds slightly faster than the Google-hosted one. However, both are really, really fast when compared to my main site so it doesn't really matter in terms of speed - as long as one or the other is chosen all is good.

Interesting update. I think jquery.com also hosts the files. I'm curious where they stand in the ranks. – miss snippet Oct 21 at 4:53
